While I did like the images shown for the trailer, I cringed when scenes that could have been astonishing were cheapened by "Bad to The Bone" by George Thorogood. If anyone remembers "Planet Earth" by the BBC the promo score was amazing in itself. Discovery Channel should have chosen something like that to add a certain gravitas to the Promotion. Now, some viewers will believe that D/R will be geared towards children.
I'm looking forward to seeing it, the colors and patterning are really cool and something not really pushed in previous documentaries. We could be waiting quite a while down here in Oz for it to make it here...
Awe, man. I hope it gets down to you guys sooner rather than later. I'm not sure of the international release dates for it, but I doubt it would be long.
Glad you like the colors and stuff. I'm really glad we got to push color and pattern. I'm tired of stuff always being grey and brown with stripes so the color was my favorite part at work.
I think you'll like it overall. Some stuff will obviously be hit and miss, but I learned thats just the nature of TV. You only get so much time to get it done:(
I'm just really happy its finally getting there and still can't believe I actually got to work on it! LOL!
LOL, well, I'm glad you liked it;) It should look even better when it actually airs. These low resolution flash things give it some weird compression problems:P
I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. I haven't seen a lot of it since I finished up the model and texture work, so I'm just in this state of OMG! Fingers crossed, lol.

Yeppers. I thought the same at first, but actually don't mind it so much now. But yes, I get what you mean;)

ReplyDeleteI think it is. Then again, the whole thing was so much work and stuff going on it makes my head hurt. Pretty sure that's good ol' Ornitho though.
ReplyDeleteI think I just died and went to my vision of heaven: Real Dinosaurs :p
